In Trumbull Tuesdays and Thursdays at

Yale New Haven Health

5520 Park Ave Trumbull

I run a clinic inside the Yale New Haven Health facility on Park Ave.  Many patients are often recovering from cancer, but the clinic is open to the general public.  Men and women of all ages come for treatments.  I treat many different things there, from the side effects of chemotherapy, to muscle and joint pain, depression, fatigue etc.   The staff at the center are fantastic, warm people and I really like working in the hospital environment.  A reservation is needed as it often gets very busy.  To reserve a spot email me or call at 917-514-4806.

SIDE EFFECTS OF CANCER TREATMENT

I have been treating the side effects of clients under treatment for cancer for many years. It is very reliable. I have recently completed a pilot study with oncologists testing the effect of acupuncture on the side effects of aromatase inhibitors and the results are great.

The reason I was asked to come treat at YALE NEW HAVEN HEALTH was to treat the side effects of their oncology clients, particularly the breast cancer clients. I have gotten very skilled at treating these over the years. The most common side effect is neuropathy. I can turn that around fairly quickly depending on how long you have had it and how far advanced it is. The two pharmaceutical solutions for chemo based neuropathy are Gabapentin and Lyrica both of which help very little. I can say with confidence acupuncture is the best solution for many of the side effects. Post surgical pain also responds very well to acupuncture as does lymphedema.  Many patient have a combination of post surgical pain and lymphedema after breast surgery (either mastectomy, lumpectomy, or reconstruction). This can go on for years and it does not have to! Acupuncture often helps reduce this significantly.

Some other side effects I treat:

Neuropathy/ Pins and Needles/ Numbness

Skin irritations / skin redness / skin inflammation

Nausea.

Fatigue

Hot Flashes

Insomnia

GI Issues / constipation / diarrhea / IBS
